Remember when selecting a granite that
is to carry an engraving, whether it be simply lettering
of a complex piece of graphics, it is generally wise
to choose a dark or black granite, that is to say, a
granite with a fine grain. These granites are best for
the application of engraving and etching as they provide
enough contrast for the design and the quality is fine
enough to insure a good legible inscription.
